Kalamazoo edges Albion in women's soccer

KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The result the Albion College women's soccer team got from its Saturday match at Kalamazoo College was an exhibit of what has happened to the Britons many times this season.

Albion Head Coach Eric Scott said his team played well, but it was not able to finish a scoring chance in a 1-0 loss to the Hornets.

Madison Moote scored the only goal of the contest midway through the first half.

Shots were 12-6 in favor of Kalamazoo. Domenique Sarnecky and Jenna Urso generated three shots apiece for Albion.

Albion goalkeeper Maggie Troost stopped five of the six shots she faced.

Albion, 8-9-1 overall and 6-8-1 against Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association rivals, will complete the season Monday night at Adrian College.
