HOLLAND, Mich. - Albion scored twice in the second half, but it could never produce the equalizer in a 3-2 loss to Hope in a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association contest.
Rachael Braginton and Elizabeth Perkins scored to boost Hope to a 2-0 halftime lead.
Domenique Sarnecky produced her 10th goal of the season as Albion cut the margin to 2-1 with 36 minutes to play.
Albion was awarded a corner kick 5 1/2 minutes later, but it was unable to get a shot off.
Grace Bubin tacked on what would be the game-winning goal for Hope with 12 minutes to play.
Albion continued to press and Sam LaRocca scored with 2:38 left.
Albion returns home for a Wednesday match against Trine.
