Bulldog Women's Soccer Dominates Play in Win Over Illinois Tech 1-0

Chicago. Ill. – Adrian College women's soccer finish the weekend in Illinois with a win over Illinois Tech 1-0. Sophomore Mackenzie Wilcox scored the game's lone goal, her first this season, with 29:56 left in the first half she was assisted by fellow sophomore Bailey Sarka.

The Bulldog defense led by senior goalkeeper Lexi Lewandowski played strong again finishing the game with its fourth straight shutout. Illinois Tech was only able to attempt six shots, two on goal, the entire game.

Adrian's offense also got rolling this game, dominating the opposition with 27 total shots versus just six from Illinois Tech.

Wilcox led the team with nine total shots, five of which were on goal. Junior Carlin O'Malley attempted six total shots with one on goal and senior Sam Jarrett attempted four shots with one on goal.

The Bulldogs continue their season Wednesday, September 9 when they travel to Olivet to face the Comets opening the MIAA schedule, kickoff scheduled for 4 p.m.  Head Coach Ali Alamdari commented on the upcoming match saying, "Olivet is also undefeated…they are tremendously improved…I fully expect this to be the toughest Olivet match that we've played in a decade."
