Aurora, Ill. – The Adrian women's soccer team defeated UW-Platteville 1-0 on Friday evening in the team's first game of three in Illinois this weekend. The win improves the team's regular season record to 1-0-1. Junior Emily Theisen scored the game-winning goal at 23:39 in the first half (unassisted).

Senior Goal Keeper Lexi Lewandowski recorded five saves to tally her second shutout in as many games this season. 

Sophomore Mackenzie Wilcox and junior Megan Benoist contributed to the Bulldog's offensive efforts with two shots on goal each.  Sophomores Allyse Zondlak and Bailey Sarka each tallied one shot on goal as well.

The Bulldogs look to continue their success this Sunday September 6 when they will face the University of Dubuque at 1 p.m. EST.
