All-MIAA - Women's Lacrosse - 2022

FREELAND, Mich. -- At the conclusion of the 2022 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) women's lacrosse regular season, head coaches from the MIAA's eight member institutions that sponsor women's lacrosse voted on All-MIAA awards.

Albion senior midfielder Chrystelle Lopez was named the 2022 MIAA Most Valuable Offensive Player of the Year after assisting the Brits to a 6-1 mark in league play and the regular-season title.  Lopez concluded conference play with 48 points, 21 assists, and 9-17 free position goal-shots.  She is now a three-time All-MIAA honoree.

Senior goalkeeper Alexis Robinson of Albion was voted the 2022 MIAA Most Valuable Defensive Player of the Year following her performance during the regular season.  Robinson finished league play as the MIAA leader in minutes (429:46), goals-against average (9.63), saves (99), save percentage (.589), wins (6), and win percentage (.857).  She is also second in the conference with just 69 goals against.  Robinson became a two-time All-MIAA recipient this season.  She was previously selected as Rookie of the Year in 2019.

Trine freshman attacker Calista Richmond was selected as the MIAA Rookie of the Year after leading the Thunder to a 5-2 mark in league play and the No. 4 seed in the MIAA Tournament.  Richmond concluded her first season as the MIAA leader in assists with 36 and was second in the league with 50 points.

Albion's Lopez and Destiny Okon, along with Saint Mary's Bridget Kane, all became three-time All-MIAA honorees this season.  Two-time All-MIAA recipients include Robinson, Calvin's Megan Gilbert, Hope's Madison Micho, Kalamazoo's Rose Bogard, Saint Mary's Gabby Belsito, and Erin Dotson, and Trine's Liv Ghent.
