FREELAND, Mich. -- At the conclusion of the spring 2021 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Women's Lacrosse Tournament, head coaches from the MIAA's eight member institutions that sponsor women's lacrosse voted on All-MIAA awards.
Saint Mary's senior midfielder Erin Doyle earned MIAA Offensive Most Valuable Player for the second-straight season after assisting the Belles to the MIAA regular-season title, as well as the 2021 MIAA Women's Lacrosse Tournament crown. Doyle concluded the season as the league leader in points (117), goals (88), shots (180), and shots on goal (139).
Senior goalie Emily Kraker of Saint Mary's received MIAA Defensive Most Valuable Player for the second-consecutive season. Kraker concluded 2021 as the conference leader in minutes played (942:02), saves (181), and save percentage (.508).
Kalamazoo freshman midfielder Hannah Heeren was named the MIAA Rookie of the Year. Over the season, Heeren scored 44 points and 37 goals for the Hornets. She concluded the competition with 76 shots on goal, 20 draw controls, 31 ground balls, and 15 caused turnovers.
Doyle, Calvin's Emma Verrett, and Kalamazoo's Rachel Madar each earned All-MIAA honors for the third time in their collegiate career. Kraker, Albion's Chrystelle Lopez and Destiny Okon, Hope's Paige Wilmer, and Saint Mary's Bridget Kane all received All-MIAA accolades for a second time.
