MIAA Women's Lacrosse Week #2 Wrap-Up

• Alma went 2-0 on their road trip to the Pacific Northwest, defeating Puget Sound Feb. 28, 12-11, and Linfield March 1, 5-4. The Scots rallied from an 8-2 halftime deficit against Puget Sound, outscoring their hosts 10-3 in the second half. Shelby Frazer (Jr., Holt, Mich.) had the hot hand in the win, with six of her seven goals coming in the second half. Nikki Reece (Fr., Livonia, Mich.) had three goals to vault the Scots against Linfield.

• Calvin split their opening weekend, which included a 16-5 win over Asbury March 4. The Knights set the tone with the first six goals of the game, including the first three from Kelly Pepper (So., Wycoff, N.J.); Pepper finished with five goals and two assists.

• Trine started their 2017 season with a 20-10 win against Wilmington March 4. Six Trine goals in the first half gave the Thunder a lead it would not give up, as Elena Gallego (Sr., Norwalk, Calif.) led Trine with five goals, including three during Trine's first-half burst.
