The Knights was emphatic both offensively and defensively in Saturday's MIAA Championship game against Hope at Zuidema Field, as Calvin upended the Flying Dutch 15-0 to win the MIAA Tournament title and gain an automatic berth to the NCAA Tournament.
Kelly Pepper gathered three goals and three assists for the Knights, while Emily Cefaratti and Emma Tilma each had three goals an an assist. Defensively, Calvin gave up just three shots on goal while keeping possession thanks to eight draw controls by Madeline Baas.
The NCAA Selection show for the 2017 Division III Women's Lacrosse Championship will reveal the field Sunday, May 7 at 9:30 p.m.
