The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association has named Albion midfielder Kadie Koolwick its Defensive Player of the Week in women's lacrosse for games played through May 2. 

Koolwick, a junior from Bloomfield (Bloomfield Hills Lahser HS), won 25 draw controls, scooped up nine ground balls and caused four turnovers for the Britons during the MIAA tournament. She won 14 draw controls, picked up six ground balls and assisted on the winning goal in Albion's 11-10 win over Calvin in the championship game of the MIAA tournament. Koolwick is being honored as Player of the Week for the second time this season and third time in her career.
