Adrian Women's Golf Competes in Early Day 2 of NCAA National Championship

HOWEY-IN-THE-HILLS, Fla. -- The Adrian College women's golf team completed day two of the NCAA National Championship on Wednesday afternoon. The Bulldogs competed in the morning wave with the first tee time starting at 7:50 AM. Adrian went on to shoot 353 with their place to be determined with the afternoon wave still competing. 

Olivia Ohmer led the way for the Bulldogs shooting an 86. Taylor Ross and Riley Kleck each shot 88 for Adrian followed by Lauren Reed at 91. Sara Bevington rounded out the starting five with a 94. Adrian holds a two-day total of 705 entering the final round before the cut.

The NCAA dedicated day two to fallen veterans as they hosted a Folds of Honor round. The entire Adrian College team played in honor of Navy Lieutenant SEAL Brendan Looney who paid the ultimate sacrifice in Afghanistan in 2010. All players and coaches wore Folded American Flag pins for the event in honor of the fallen soldiers.

The Adrian College women's golf team is scheduled to compete in the final round before the cut on Thursday, May 11 where they will begin on the back-9 in the afternoon session.
