Player of the Week
Calvin guard Jill Thomas, a senior from Grand Rapids (West Catholic HS), scored 13 points, including three 3-ponters, as she helped the Knights defeat Hope, 65-43, in the championship game of the MIAA tournament on Saturday. Thomas, who is being honored as Player of the Week for the first time in her career, also had four assists and three steals in a 78-50 tournament semifinal win over Saint Mary’s.
