Third-seeded Trine University notched a 63-59 victory over top-seeded Hope College to win the 2024 MIAA Tournament crown at the DeVos Fieldhouse on February 24.

Following their performance in the championship contest, the Thunder have an overall record of 21-7 with a 12-4 mark in league games.

Trine was led by Jada Rhonehouse with a game-best 15 points.  Both Sidney Wagner (14 points) and Allison Capouch (12 points) also scored in double digits for the Thunder.  Wagner grabbed a game-best seven rebounds while Katie Tate handed out a game high of three assists.

As a team, Trine had a field-goal percentage of .489 (23-of-47) and a three-point field-goal percentage of .500 (7-of-14).  They had a 10-9 edge over Hope in assists.

Hope wrapped up the tournament with an overall record of 24-3, including a 15-1 record in conference play.

Karsen Karlblom led the Flying Dutch with 13 points, followed by Terin Maynard with 12 points.  Both Raven Jemison and Courtney Lee totaled a team-high six rebounds.

Hope led Trine 36-27 in rebounds and 18-14 in bench points.

Trine receives the league's automatic bid into the 2024 NCAA Division III Women's Basketball Tournament.  The championship selection show will be live streamed at NCAA.com on Monday, February 26.
