Calvin's Timmer and Trine's Wagner Announced As All-Americans by D3hoops.com

The Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) is represented by Calvin University's Gabby Timmer and Trine University's Sidney Wagner on the All-America list announced by D3hoops.com on March 27, 2023.

Gabby Timmer, a fifth-year center for the Knights, was selected to the D3hoops.com All-Region First Team prior to earning a spot on the All-America Second Team.  Timmer was also announced as a Second Team Academic All-America® by College Sports Communicators (CSC).  She became a five-time All-MIAA honoree after assisting Calvin to a 12-4 conference record (21-6 overall).  Timmer concluded the season as the league's leader with 192 field goals, 192 defensive rebounds, 277 total boards, 10.3 rebounds per game, 63 blocks, and 483 points.  This year, Timmer broke Calvin's record for career rebounds (1,156) and became the second player in program history to score at least 2,000 career points.  She also is one of four players in program history with at least 200 career blocks.

Sidney Wagner, a sophomore guard for the Thunder, was also announced to the All-Region First Team earlier this month.  She was tabbed a Third Team All-American by D3hoops.com.  Wagner was voted the 2023 MIAA Most Valuable Player after leading Trine to a 14-2 conference record (23-7 overall).  She wrapped up the year as the league leader in steals, totaling 66.  Wagner set a new career-high with 29 points in Trine's 76-64 victory at Hope College on December 17.

The 2023 D3hoops.com All-America team is their 26th annual national awards.  These are chosen by D3hoops.com staff in consultation with All-Region voting results from players nominated for All-Region.
