All-MIAA - Women's Basketball - 2019-20

At the conclusion of the 2019-20 Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association women's basketball regular season Saturday (Feb. 22), head coaches from the MIAA's nine member institutions that sponsor women's basketball voted on All-MIAA awards.

Hope's junior guard Kenedy Schoonveld was voted the MIAA's Most Valuable Player after an all-around season in Hope's 16-0 MIAA campaign. Schoonveld had a team-best 10.5 points in 22.2 minutes per MIAA game, and owned a 2.0 assist/turnover ratio that ranked fifth in the MIAA. In 16 MIAA games, Schoonveld averaged 4.4 rebounds, 1.8 steals, and 1.6 assists per game.

Schoonveld, now a three-time first-team All-MIAA selection, headlines an All-MIAA first team that includes Albion's Rain Hinton, also a three-time All-MIAA honoree (two-time first-team selection); Calvin's Gabby Timmer and Hope's Olivia Voskuil, both two-time All-MIAA selections; and Trine's tandem of Tara Bieniewicz and Katy Steers.

Hope's Voskuil repeats as the MIAA Defensive Player of the Year after averaging 1.9 blocks and 1.9 steals per MIAA game. Voskuil also chipped in 10.4 points and 4.6 rebounds per game for the Flying Dutch.

Albion's Evelyn Wischmeyer is now a three-time All-MIAA selection after earning second-team honors again in 2020. Joining Wischmeyer is two-time second-team selection Giavanna Paradiso of Saint Mary's, along with first-time selections Jeny Brandt of Alma, Stephanie Coors of Calvin, Lauren Newman of Hope, and Kayla Wildman of Trine.
