Alma (10-11, 5-7)

The Scots hosted MIAA rival No. 10 Hope College Saturday (Feb. 2) in their only game of the week. The Scots lost 83-51, but freshman guard Oretha Humphries (Detroit, Mich.) had an impressive day with a career-high and game-high 20 points on six-of-10 shooting. The first-year player also shot five-for-five from the free throw line.

Calvin (10-11, 5-7)

Calvin defeated Albion 74-69 on Saturday, where the Knights received 25 points and a career-high 20 rebounds from freshman Gabby Timmer who was later named MIAA Player of the Week for the third time in her career. Kara Minderhoud had 15, Stephanie Coors 12 and Rachel Warners 10 to aid the Calvin scoring attack.

No. 8/10 Hope (17-3, 9-2)

Two career-high scoring efforts by sophomores Mallory Gerber and Ashleigh Thomas highlighted the Hope women's basketball team's 83-51 victory at Alma Saturday. Both players came in from off the bench to lend a large offensive helping hand in resetting the Flying Dutch following a tough, league loss to MIAA-leader Trine a week ago. Now that Hope is back to its winning ways, the nationally-ranked Flying Dutch are 17-3 overall and 9-2 in the MIAA, firmly in second place. Gerber of Schaumberg, Ill. and Thomas of Shelby Township, Mich. scored 18 and 15 points, respectively.

Kalamazoo (0-20, 0-11)

The Hornets dropped their only game of the week to Saint Mary's 68-50. Kaytlyn Tidey led Kalamazoo with 13 points while hitting four 3-pointers. Her third 3-pointer broke the school record for 3-pointers in a season (54). Georgie Andrews scored 11 points on 5-of-6 shooting with six rebounds and four steals. Amanda Moss added nine points with three assists while Sierra Fraser scored seven points with seven rebounds.

Olivet (6-14, 2-9)

Due to the postponement of last Wednesday's game and Saturday being its bye day, the Olivet College women's basketball team did not play any games last week.

Saint Mary's (10-11, 7-5)

In their lone game of the week, the Belles shot 53.8 percent from the floor over the second half of play to take a 68-50 win at Kalamazoo on Saturday. Jade Mosier led all players with 21 points, and Giavanna Paradiso registered her first double-double of the season with 15 points and a game-high 11 rebounds. Paradiso also chipped in a career-high six assists in the contest.

No. 7/5 Trine (19-2, 12-0)

Trine remained unbeaten in MIAA action with an 84-53 win against Adrian Feb. 2. Three players scored in double figures, including 13 points off the bench from Shaely Duff. Cassidy Willaims led with 14 points to go with a team-best five assists.
