• Albion tallied two wins during their opening week of play, including a 75-47 win at home against Defiance Nov. 18. The Britons held Defiance without a double-figure scorer on the defensive end, out-rebounded their guests 47-30, and forced 24 turnovers. Offensively, Rain Hinton (Fr., F, Fort Wayne, Ind.) came off the bench to score 15 points in 14 minutes on 7-of-10 shooting.
• #13 Hope captured the tournament title of their own Tip-Off Tournament Nov. 17-18, defeating Heidelberg, 105-50, and Rose-Hulman, 63-58. The Flying Dutch edged receiving-votes Rose-Hulman Nov. 18 with an 8-0 run to end the contest. Francesca Buchanan (Jr., F, Grant, Mich.) led Hope with team-bests of 15 points and eight rebounds in the win.
• #9 Trine started the 2017-18 campaign with a 3-0 week, defeating Defiance at home Nov. 15, 94-78, to go with a tournament championship at Denison Nov. 18-19. In Trine's 58-41 win over Denison, Brandi Dawson (Jr., F, Garrett, Ind.) scored a game-high 17 points.
