• After a three-game slide pulled Calvin from the national rankings, Calvin went 6-0 last week to move back into Top 25 consideration. Among the Knights MIAA wins were doubleheaders against Kalamazoo April 19 and Albion April 21; against the Britons, Anna Gernant (Jr., West Des Moines, Iowa) threw a five-inning no-hitter.
• Hope moved up to 14th in the nation after a 5-1 week, splitting with then No. 7 Saint Mary's April 19 and then No. 13 Trine April 21. Along the way, Sierra Mutschler (Sr., Wayland, Mich.) took over the Hope record for career home runs with her 25th career round-tripper against Trine.
• In a battle of the final undefeated teams remaining in MIAA play, Saint Mary's split with nationally-ranked Hope April 19 before a two-game sweep over Olivet April 21 to gain their 30th and 31st wins of the season. Kelsey Keilman (So., South Bend, Ind.) went 6-for-7 at the plate in the series with Olivet.
• Earning MIAA Athlete of the Week honors for April 23 were:

• In the April 25 release of the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Top 25 Coaches Poll, three teams were ranked in the Top 20: Saint Mary's (10th), Hope (14th), and Trine (16th). Calvin was receiving votes.
