• Alma added four MIAA victories last week to improve to 6-0 against league challengers. The Scots scattered five hits in an 8-1, 4-1 doubleheader sweep of Kalamazoo April 9, and utilized timely offense to defeat Olivet twice April 8, 9-1 and 5-4.
• Hope improved to 4-0 in the MIAA schedule with two shutout wins over Albion April 8. The Flying Dutch held Albion to just one hit in game one and then holding the Brits to three hits in game two. Sydney Jones (Jr., P, South Lyon, Mich.) fired 10 strikeouts in the five-inning one-hitter.
• Saint Mary's took sole possession of first place in the MIAA race with a 4-0 week to improve to 8-0 in the conference season. The Belles were convincing with two shutouts over Calvin April 8, giving up just three hits in both games.
• #4 Trine went 3-1 against MIAA foes, splitting with Kalamazoo April 8 before a doubleheader sweep over Olivet April 9. In the circle, Danielle Ray (Fr., P, Hamilton, Ohio) blanked Olivet with a four-hit shutout with eight strikeouts.
