Two student-athletes representing the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association on the diamond were recognized May 4 for their success both in competition and in the classroom with the release of the College Sports Information Directors of America's Academic All-District teams.

Trine's Catherine Porter and Saint Mary's Makenzie Duncan were named First-team Academic All-District performers and will advance to the national ballot to be considered for Academic All-America. Student-athletes must have sophomore academic standing at their institutions and have a cumulative grade-point average at 3.30 or higher.
