Adrian
Did not compete. The Bulldogs return to action Oct. 19 at the Inter-Regional Rumble.
Albion
Did not compete. The Britons return to action Oct. 19 at the Inter-Regional Rumble.
Alma
The Scots finished third at the Lansing Invitational Oct. 4. Luke Reed (Benzonia, Mich.), Jack Montgomery (Mikado, Mich.), Karl Stroup (White Lake, Mich.), and Timothy Carlington (Cadillac, Mich.) all finished in the top 20 point-getters; four of 11 runners set new personal records.
No. 10 Calvin
The Knights took sixth place in a field of 20 teams in the Gold Division of the Notre Dame Joe Piane Invitational. The Knights recorded a team score of 270 points and were the only Division III institution in the race. Junior Jonathan Ellis was the top individual finisher for the Knights, placing 31st in a time of 25:03 on the 8K course.
Hope
Hope's Nick Hoffman (Holland, Mich.) broke the 26-minute barrier for the first time on Saturday at the Greater Louisville Classic; Hoffman was joined by several teammates in clocking lifetime bests. Head coach Mark Northuis said the Flying Dutchmen fared well during the 8K race. Hope finished 27th out of 40 teams in the Silver Division. Hoffman placed 86th out of 276 runners with a time of 25:53.7. Sophomore Evan Bleitz (Saline, Mich.) was next for Hope with a 177th-place time of 27:05.2.
Kalamazoo
The Hornets finished 40th overall at the Louisville Classic on Saturday. Jackson Kelly led the team with a time of 26:54 to finish 166th overall. Caleb Patton and Lucas Rizzolo both finished in 29:55. Sam Meyer (32:03) and David Kent (33:19) rounded our the five for Kalamazoo. The Hornets are back in action on Oct. 19 at the Inter-Regional Rumble hosted by Oberlin.
Olivet
Olivet totaled 125 points to place fourth at the Lansing Community College Invitational. Junior Kyle Markley completed the 8K race in 26:53.8 to be the Comets' top finisher. He finished eighth among the eligible scoring runners. Freshman Chase Mendham finished in 15th-place at 27:12.6. Sophomore Kyle McDowell was next at 27:34.2.
Trine
Placed 12th at the University of Louisville Cross Country Classic...Derek Miller recorded the top individual time for the Thunder in the 8k event of 25:07.0 which put Miller in 33rd place overall among a field of 276 runners.
