Around the MIAA

Adrian

The Bulldogs took part in the Mike Woods Invitational hosted by SUNY Geneseo on Saturday. Robert Diebold led the men with a 38th place finish out of 314 runners, with a mark of 27:02.9. 


Albion

Kiehl Smith, Adam Ditri and Aaron Weimer finished among the top 23 runners as Albion College surged to eighth place out of 31 teams in the Loyola Lakefront Invitational on Saturday. The top three Britons were separated by just 39 seconds at the finish. Smith was sixth in the field of 274 runners, reaching the finish line in 26:09.03. Ditri was 20th (26:37.97) and Weimer was 23rd (26:48.43).


Alma

Did not compete. Alma is back in action Oct. 4 at the Lansing Invitational.


No. 8 Calvin

Did not compete. The Knights ranked atop the Great Lakes Region in the Oct. 1 release of the regional poll.


Hope

Did not compete.


Kalamazoo

The Hornets finished 27th overall at the Loyola Lakefront Invitational in Chicago, Ill. on Saturday. Jackson Kelly led Kalamazoo with a time of 27:44 to finish 70th overall. Caleb Patton (31:09), Lucas Rizzolo (31:27), Sam Meyer (31:32), and David Kent (37:53) rounded out the top five finishers for the Hornets. Kalamazoo is scheduled to be back in action next Saturday, Oct. 5 at the Louisville Classic.


Olivet

Did not compete last week. Will run Friday at the Lansing Community College Invitational.


Trine

The Thunder rank sixth in the Great Lakes Region, according to USTFCCCA.
