• At the 2017 MIAA Jamboree Sept. 23, teams battled through high heat index at Hope. While Calvin's depth resulted in 24 team points to win the event, Albion's Andrew Bill (So., Berkley, Mich.) won the event by a 12-second margin.
Calvin's Mark DeJong (Sr., Grand Rapids, Mich.), Jamison Koeman (Jr., Whitinsville, Mass.), and Andrew Philipose (Sr., Mount Prospect, Ill.) finished 2-3-4 for the Knights, with Olivet's Bruce Baker (Sr., Charlotte, Mich.) rounding out the top five.
• Earning MIAA Athlete of the Week honors for Sept. 25 was:

• In the Sept. 26 release of the USTFCCCA regional rankings, Calvin remained on top of the Great Lakes Region listing, but Albion vaulted up from sixth to second with their strong finish at the MIAA Jamboree. Trine came in at sixth.
