Calvin senior Jonathan Ellis defended his 2019 title in the 10,000m run after clocking in at 31:28.77 for a first-place finish.

Kejuan Frazier of Albion became a three-time champion in the shot put with a throw of 16.87m.

Olivet sophomore Jordon Brown notched a victory in the long jump with a leap of 7.16m.

Alma senior Nolan Rowland cleared the bar at 4.10m for a first-place finish in the pole vault.

Calvin senior Bryce Reynolds closed out the men's day one events by breaking a six-year record in the hammer throw (57.97m).

Women's Recap

Trine concluded day one's events in first place with 80.50 points, followed by Hope in second place (42 points) and Calvin in third (36.50 points).

Thunder senior Megan Theismann gave her team the early lead with a first-place finish in the 10,000m run (38:09.10).

Junior Valerie Obear of Trine added another 10 points for the Thunder after her performance of 53.69m in the hammer throw.

Adrian freshman Cailey Beaudoin earned her first collegiate championship win in the high jump at 1.59m.

Junior Lillian Albaugh of Olivet defended her title in the shot put after a 12.35m throw.

Freshman Haley Livingston tacked on 10 more points for Trine with her first-place finish in the long jump (5.20m).

Trine junior Autumn Presley closed out day one with a victory in the pole vault (2.80m).
