Around the MIAA
Adrian
The Bulldogs open their season at the Tiffin Open in Tiffin, Ohio on Saturday, Jan. 18. During last year's Tiffin Open, Nicholas Jackson and Daz Lawrence won the high jump event. The Bulldogs look to have another successful performance at the Tiffin Open.
Albion
Alma
The track and field team competed in the Saginaw Valley State University Classic on Friday (Jan. 10). Nolan Rowland (Battle Creek, Mich.) set a new personal best in the pole vault, jumping 3.90 meters. Jacob Wildenhaus (Jackson, Mich.) finished second in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.84. Timothy Carlington (Cadillac, Mich.) finished third in the men's 800 meters run with a time of 2:04.57.
Calvin
Calvin will begin the 2020 calendar year Friday, Jan. 17 at the GVSU Bill Clinger Classic.
Hope
Hope will begin the 2020 calendar year Friday, Jan. 17 at the GVSU Bill Clinger Classic.
Olivet
Will compete for the first time this winter Saturday at the Don & Riley Zimmer Classic at Trine.
Trine
Won the Sean Brady/Keith Turner Alumni Open...Derek Miller, Jake Gladieux and Ben Williams all captured event victories with Miller capturing the 3000-meter run (8:48.80), Gladieux came in first in the 60-meter hurdles (8.59 seconds) and Williams won the long jump (22' 1.00").
