NEW ORLEANS, La. -- The United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) announced the teams and individuals selected to their individual All-Academic and team All-Academic awards for the 2019-20 men's indoor and outdoor track and field seasons on July 16, 2020.
Three Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) men's track and field programs received academic recognition including: Calvin University, Hope College, and Trine University.
14 individuals from the MIAA earned USTFCCCA All-Academic honors for the 2019-20 track and field seasons.
To qualify for USTFCCCA All-Academic honors, the student-athlete must have compiled a cumulative GPA of 3.30 and must have met at least one of the following athletic standards:
- Competed in an NCAA Indoor or Outdoor Championship
- Finished the regular season ranked in the national top-50 in an individual event or ranked in the national top-35 in a relay event on the official NCAA Descending Order List.
In order to be in contention for All-Academic Team honors, a program must have at least a 3.10 cumulative team GPA. In 2019-20, 325 men and 150 women's programs were honored.
