ADRIAN, Mich. -- Athletic director Craig Rainey announced the hiring of Teddy Morse as the new head coach of the Adrian College men's and women's tennis team. Morse comes with multiple years of experience coaching high school boys and girls tennis, and will use Adrian College as his first collegiate coaching job.

Morse was a 2012 graduate of the University of Toledo where he received a bachelor's degree in social work. After college he went on to begin his coaching career at Toledo Waite High School. At Toledo Waite, Morse served as the head coach of the girls tennis team from 2012-17. He was named the NWO USTA High School Coach of the Year in 2016. He was also named the Toledo City League Coach of the Year in 2016 and 2017. From 2017-18, Morse went on to become the assistant boy tennis coach at Sylvania Southview before becoming the head boys and girls tennis coach at Maumee High School.

During his coaching career, Morse has collected more than 100 career wins and coached two state qualifiers. As a player, he played four years at Perrysburg High School. He holds a USTA Tennis rating of 4.5 and has been a USTA Adult Tennis Captain for ten years.

"I am honored and looking forward to being part of an amazing academic and athletic community," Morse said. "I want to help grow and strengthen both the men's and women's tennis programs by being aggressive in recruiting and sharpening each player's skills in order to compete with the top programs in both non-league competition and in the MIAA."

Coach Morse will begin his coaching responsibilities at the end of the month as the Bulldogs prepare for their fall season.
