Kalamazoo Men's Tennis Falls to Top-Ranked Case Western in NCAA Second Round

CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Kalamazoo College men's tennis team was defeated 5-0 by top-ranked Case Western Reserve University in the second round of the NCAA III Champinoships Saturday afternoon.

The host Spartans (29-4) won all three doubles matches before winning a pair of singles matches to win the match and advance in the tournament.

Gabe Vidinas/Peter Fitzgerald were defeated 8-1 at one doubles. Casey Johnson/Adnan Alousi lost 8-0 at two. Parker Foster/Louis Landreau lost 8-1 at three.

Fitzgerald was defeated 6-2, 6-0 at two singles. Alek Hultberg lost 6-0, 6-3 at six.

Johnson was tied 6-6 in the first set at four singles when the match was decided.

Kalamazoo's season ends with an overall record of 12-8 (6-0 MIAA) with MIAA regular season and tournament championships.
