Kalamazoo Men's Tennis Defeats Ohio Northern at NCAA III Championships

CLEVELAND, Ohio - The Kalamazoo College men's tennis team defeated Ohio Northern University 5-4 in the first round of the NCAA III Championships Friday at Case Western Reserve University.

Kalamazoo trailed 2-1 after doubles, but rallied to win four singles matches to win the match.

With the match tied 4-4, Gabe Vidinas clinched the final point with a 6-4, 4-6, 6-2 win at one singles.

Adnan Alousi won 6-1, 6-0 at two singles. Casey Johnson won 6-1, 6-2 at three. Louis Landreau won 6-1, 6-4 at four.

Johnson/Alousi won 8-5 at one doubles.

Kalamazoo is scheduled to face Case Western in a second round match Saturday at 2 p.m.
