Kalamazoo defended its Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) Men's Tennis Tournament title after a 5-0 win against Hope on May 8.

The Hornets swept doubles competition for a 3-0 lead to start.  At No. 1 doubles, First Team All-MIAA honoree Ian Yi and the 2021 Dr. Allen B. Stowe Award recipient Daniel Henry blanked their opponents, 8-0.  Peter Fitzgerald and Tytus Metzler notched an 8-2 victory at the second flight, while Dylan Drier and Second Team All-MIAA player Jai Banerji earned an 8-3 win at No. 3 doubles.

Henry and First Team All-MIAA recipient Casey Johnson tallied the final two points for the Hornets.  Daniel won his No. 2 singles match 6-1, 6-2 and Johnson recorded a 6-2, 6-1 win at No. 4 singles.

Kalamazoo earns an automatic berth to the NCAA Division III Men's Tennis Championship.  The NCAA will release the bracket on Monday, May 10.
