• Adrian went 2-1, including their 9-0 victory against Albion April 1. Both Jeff Sophiea (Jr., Davisburg, Mich.) and Nate Waterbury (Fr., Coldwater, Mich.) went 2-0 in doubles as partners in the No. 3 slot while going 3-0 at No. 4 and No. 5 singles, respectively.

• Calvin went 2-0 on the week, adding a 6-3 non-league win over Spring Harbor with a 7-2 victory against Alma April 1. After sweeping the Scots in doubles, the Knights posted three straight-set wins in singles to earn the MIAA victory. Taylor Asfour (Sr., Grand Rapids, Mich.) was perfect on the week for Calvin, going 2-0 at both No. 1 doubles and No. 4 singles.

• Hope zoomed past Olivet March 30, 9-0, in the MIAA opener for both squads. Seven of the nine flights won by the Flying Dutchmen were without a lost game, including all three doubles matches. Denny Kroeze (Fr., Holland, Mich.) helped set the tone in singles with his 6-0, 6-0 victory at No. 1 singles.

• Kalamazoo opened MIAA play with a 9-0 victory over Trine April 1. All six singles wins were straight-set victories, including three - No. 2, No. 3, and No. 4 singles - where the Hornets dropped just one game. Eric De Witt (Sr., Haslett, Mich.) was one of four two-time winners for Kalamazoo, winning 8-1 at No. 2 doubles along with a 6-0, 6-1 victory at No. 3 singles.
