MIAA Men's Tennis Championship features Kalamazoo, Calvin

Thursday's semifinals featured a convincing win and a nail-biter to set Friday's stage between top-seed Kalamazoo and #3 seed Calvin for Friday's title match at 4 p.m. at Kalamazoo.

Kalamazoo 5, Adrian 0

After sweeping three doubles matches, including two 8-0 wins at No. 2 and No. 3 doubles, Kalamazoo added wins at No. 2 and No. 3 singles to advance. Elan Dantus won at No. 1 doubles and No. 3 singles to aid in the team win.

Calvin 5, Hope 4

Calvin won their 16th team victory this season with the Knights' 5-4 upset win at Hope in the semifinals, aided by a 3-0 sweep in doubles. The match was decided by No. 1 singles, where Rodrigo Castellanos Vaca Guzmán won in three sets, defeating Michael Kiley 6-0, 4-6, 7-6.
