Eight MIAA Programs, Fifteen Individuals Announced to CSCAA Spring Scholar All-America Teams

Eight programs and fifteen student-athletes from the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) earned Scholar All-America recognition from the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA).

The CSCAA recognized a total of 2,290 (1,270 women and 1,020 men) swimmers and divers as Scholar All-Americans for the 2022-23 season.

To be named to the First-Team Scholar All-America, student-athletes must achieve a minimum GPA of 3.50 and participate in their respective national championship.  Second-Team selections also earned a GPA of 3.50 or higher and met the "B" time standard for the national championship or participated in a diving zone qualification meet. Hope College was represented by nine student-athletes on the Scholar All-America Team, followed by both Albion College and Calvin University with three Scholar All-Americans each.  Five MIAA swimmers and divers earned First Team recognition, while the remaining ten were named to the Second Team.

The CSCAA selected 718 teams to the Scholar All-America Team for the Spring 2023 semester.  Teams were selected on the basis of their Spring 2023 team grade point averages and represent 17,497 student-athletes.

The men's and women's programs from Albion College, Calvin University, Hope College, Kalamazoo College were all named to the Scholar All-America Team.  The Hornets lead both the men's (3.55) and women's (3.56) programs in the MIAA with the top GPA in the sport.
