The College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) announced the Fall 2022 Scholar All-America Teams, with six Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) swimming and diving programs representing eleven teams (five for each gender).

The Albion College, Calvin University, Hope College, Kalamazoo College, and Olivet College men's and women's swimming and diving programs, along with the Alma College women's team, were among a total of 803 teams from 479 institutions.  On the women's side, Alma tops the league with a 3.60 grade-point average, while Hope leads the men with a GPA of 3.39.

Teams were selected on the basis of their Fall 2022 team grade point averages and represent 19,426 student-athletes.

The MIAA programs that earned a 3.30 or above include the Alma women (3.60), the Calvin women (3.36), the Hope women (3.53) and men (3.39), the Kalamazoo women (3.48) and men (3.35), and the Olivet women (3.31).

Team Awards (Spring & Fall Semesters)

The CSCAA recognizes Scholar All-America Teams for both the Fall and Winter Semesters.  In order to be recognized, teams must:

• Be current CSCAA members;

• Have achieved a grade point average of 3.0 or higher;

• Be nominated by a current CSCAA member or their designee by the entry deadline.

Calculating Team GPA

• Team GPA calculations must include any student-athlete who competed at any time during the current season.

• Team GPA calculations shall not include redshirts.

• Use each student-athlete's semester/quarter GPA (do not use cumulative GPAs).

• Add each student-athlete's GPA and divide by the number of student-athletes
