MIAA Men's Swimming & Diving Week #10 Wrap-Up

• Hope defeated Alma Jan. 28, 88-39, in an MIAA dual. In his final home meet, Christian Otteman (Sr., Zeeland, Mich.) was a two-time winner in the 100 back (56.79) and 400 IM (4:22.95) while also swimming on the winning 200 free relay team.

• Calvin prevailed in its MIAA dual with Kalamazoo Jan. 28, 168.5-127.5. The Knights won nine races overall, with Brett Stoughton (Sr., Centerville, Ind.) and Fear Churchwell (Fr., Athens, Ga.) each winning twice; Stoughton won the 100 back (55.61) and 100 fly (52.91) while Churchwell touched first in the 200 breast (2:18.40) and 400 IM (4:26.48).

For Kalamazoo, the Hornets were paced by Sharif Shaker (So., Castro Valley, Calif.) who won the 200 fly (1:59.62) and 500 free (4:55.71) while swimming on Kalamazoo's winning 200 free relay squad.

• Olivet split a double dual on the road, defeating Anderson, 163-68, and falling to host Manchester, 123-120. Eric Wood (Fr., West Branch, Mich.) won all four of his events - three individual and one relay - to power the Comets; Wood won the 100 free (50.17), 200 free (1:52.31) and 500 free (5:18.48).
