2023 NCAA III Men's Soccer Tournament Bracket
The Calvin men's soccer team will head to the University of Chicago for NCAA III Sectional Tournament play this coming weekend.
The Knights (18-2-1) will face the host Maroons (11-2-5) in a sectional semifinal game at 1 p.m. (CST).
St. Olaf (16-3-3) will face Wisconsin-Eau Claire (13-4-2) in the second sectional semifinal game on Friday with game time set for 3:30 p.m. (CST) or 40 minutes after the completion of game one.
Teams advancing out of Friday competition will play in the national quarterfinal on Saturday at the University of Chicago at 3 p.m. (CST).
Calvin and Chicago are familiar foes. Earlier this fall, the two teams played to a 1-1 draw in a game played at the University of Chicago on September 27.
Calvin and Chicago have met three times in the NCAA III Tournament with Chicago winning two of the three meetings. Calvin's lone win over Chicago in the post-season came in a 2018 national semifinal match in Greensboro, North Carolina.
Calvin is making its 12th appearance in the sectional round of the NCAA III Tournament. Calvin is coming off a pair of tournament wins this weekend, defeating Greenville 5-0 last Friday and Gustavus Adolphus 4-1 on Saturday.
The Knights are 39-21-6 all-time in NCAA III Tournament play.
