HUDSONVILLE, Mich. -- The Calvin University men's soccer program earned its seventeenth-straight Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) championship following an unblemished 7-0 record in league play (14-2-1 overall) during the 2023 campaign.
The Knights clinched the conference title with a 1-0 victory at Kalamazoo on Saturday, October 2. They wrapped up the season on October 25 with a 10-1 win against Olivet.
Calvin concluded league play as the MIAA's leader with 158 shots, 38 goals scored, a .241 shot percentage, 22.6 shots per game, 85 shots on goal, a shots on goal percentage of .538, 33 assists, and four shutouts.
The Knights will compete as the top-seeded team in the 2023 MIAA Men's Soccer Tournament. Calvin receives a bye in the First Round on October 28 and will host the winner of the No. 4 vs. No. 5 contest at Zuidema Field on Wednesday, November 1. The championship game will be held at the highest-remaining seed on Saturday, November 4.
