Calvin Men's Soccer Claims 16th-Straight MIAA Regular-Season Championship

HUDSONVILLE, Mich. -- The Calvin University men's soccer program earned its 16th-consecutive Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) championship title following a 6-1 record in conference play (14-2-2 overall) during the 2022 campaign.

The Knights clinched the league title in their 3-0 victory over Kalamazoo on Saturday, October 22.  They wrapped up the season on October 25 with a 3-1 win against Olivet.

Calvin concluded league play as the MIAA's leader in goals scored (23), shot percentage (.170), assists (11), and corner kicks (52).

The Knights will compete as the top-seeded team in the 2022 MIAA Men's Soccer Tournament.  Calvin receives a bye in the First Round on October 29 and will host the winner of the No. 4 vs. No. 5 contest at Zuidema Field on Tuesday, November 1.  The championship game will be held at the highest-remaining seed on Saturday, November 5.
