Calvin and Trine to Play in NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Championship

Both Calvin University and Trine University will represent the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) in the 2021 NCAA Division III Men's Soccer Championship.

The Trine men's soccer program (12-7-1) earned the league's automatic bid into the national tournament after claiming the 2021 MIAA Men's Soccer Tournament title.  The Thunder will travel to Otterbein (14-1-4) to face the host institution in the First Round of play.  This is Trine's first-ever trip to the NCAA DIII Men's Soccer Championship.

Calvin, the 2021 MIAA regular-season champion, concluded the fall season with an overall record of 15-3-2.  The Knights will travel to Ohio Wesleyan to face Rochester (NY) (9-3-4) in the First Round.  This will be the 19th appearance on the national stage for the Knights.

First and Second Round play will take place at 16 four-team sites, November 12-14.  The winners of the Second Round will advance to one-of-four sectional sites, November 19-21, and the winners of the sectionals will move on to the Semifinals.  The Semifinals and the Championship games will take place December 3-4 at UNCG Soccer Stadium in Greensboro, North Carolina.
