Seven MIAA Programs Earn United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Honors for 2020-21

Seven soccer programs from the Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association (MIAA) were named 2020-21 College Team Academic Award recipients by the United Soccer Coaches (USC) on September 23, including both the men's and the women's teams from Kalamazoo.

A total of 650 soccer teams (241 men, 409 women) posted a team grade point average of 3.0 or higher, thereby earning the United Soccer Coaches Team Academic Award for the 2020-21 academic year.

Of the 114 schools that had both their men's and women's programs recognized, Kalamazoo was one of them.  The men's squad earned a 3.47 team GPA, while the women totaled a 3.69 grade point average.

The Trine women's soccer team led the six MIAA women's programs recognized, boasting a team GPA of 3.81, followed by Albion women's soccer with a 3.72 GPA.
