Calvin's Adams, Lyon Named Scholar All-Americans by United Soccer Coaches

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Calvin University men's soccer players Ian Adams and Jacob Lyon were named to the United Soccer Coaches Scholar All-America teams, the national coaching organization announced Dec. 18. 

Adams and Lyon, both seniors, were named to the Scholar All-America First and Second Teams, respectively. 

Adams was named a United Soccer Coaches Second-Team All-American earlier this month after registering eight goals and 17 assists in 2019. Adams, who is majoring in computer science and mathematics, was also named a CoSIDA Academic All-America First Team performer.

Lyon, a biochemistry major, received All-MIAA First Team honors for the third consecutive year and United Soccer Coaches All-Region accolades for the second straight season. Last winter Lyon received Division III All-America honors from both the United Soccer Coaches and D3soccer.com.
