United Soccer Coaches Recognizes Six MIAA Men's Soccer Players as All-Region

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Four Calvin University men's soccer players - three seniors and a sophomore - garnered First-Team All-Central Region honors Dec. 2 from the United Soccer Coaches. In all, six Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association players from two programs received all-region accolades from the national coaching organization.

Calvin's Ian Adams, Jacob Lyon, Hunter Olson, and Sam Twigg were all named to the region's first team and are now eligible for All-America honors by United Soccer Coaches. Calvin goalkeeper Chris Morrish also garnered honors, being named to the region's third team.

Kalamazoo junior Ben Meschke was honored as well, being selected to the third team. Five of the six honorees were first-team All-MIAA selections in 2019, including Olson, who was tabbed the league's Most Valuable Player.
