Seniors Tad Davis and Zachary Roller had big weeks, with Davis scoring three times, including both game-winners and Roller also scoring three times and adding an assist. Davis was named Offensive Player of the Week and Roller picked up Defensive Player of the Week, marking the first time the Bulldogs have swept the POTW awards in program history.

Albion (6-5-4, 1-3-2)

Albion exploded for three goals in the Saturday victory at Olivet, its most in a match since Sept. 14 (a 4-1 victory over Wittenberg)…Moses Jatta (Sun Prairie, Wis.) produced his first goal at the collegiate level at Olivet…Erik Vanfossen (Muskegon, Mich./Muskegon Catholic Central) assisted on a goal by Alex Spratte (Canton, Mich.) in the draw with Kalamazoo last Wednesday and scored the game-winner at Olivet.

Alma (5-9-0, 2-4-0)

The Alma men's soccer team suffered a pair of losses to Adrian and Hope, but still remain in the MIAA playoff picture with one game left. Junior goalkeeper Garrison Mast (Grand Haven, Mich./Grand Haven) made a career-high 16 saves against the Bulldogs on Wednesday (Oct. 17). Junior midfielder Torsten Holland (Okemos, Mich./Haslett) scored his second-career goal on a penalty kick against Hope. An Alma win in the season finale against Trine would secure the fifth seed, but a loss could drop the Scots to the sixth seed or out of the postseason entirely.
