• Adrian earned two road MIAA wins last week to strengthen their position in the top half of the MIAA standings. in their 2-1 win at Albion Oct. 17, the Bulldogs' Garrett Miller (So., M, Grand Blanc, Mich.) struck in the 49th and 56th minutes.

• #1 Calvin posted two shutout wins last week, including a 1-0 road victory over Kalamazoo Oct. 21 to stop the Hornets' six-match unbeaten streak. Earlier in the week, the Knights defeated Alma 6-0 to secure their 11th consecutive MIAA regular season title.

• Hope tallied two MIAA victories in three outings last week to surpass the 20-point plateau in the MIAA standings. Of note, Hope's trio of one-goal games last week gave the Flying Dutchmen nine games in league play that have been decided by one goal or less, with six overtime tilts.

• Kalamazoo put up two more victories in MIAA play last week, including a 2-1 overtime win against Hope Oct. 19. Thomas Bryant (Sr., F, Kalamazoo, Mich.) beat the buzzer for the first overtime session for the game-winner against Hope, his second game-deciding goal in as many outings; Bryant scored the decisive strike against Trine Oct. 17 in the 89th minute.

• Earning MIAA Athlete of the Week honors for Oct. 23 were:

  - Defense: Griffin Hamel, Kalamazoo

  - Offense: Thomas Bryant, Kalamazoo

• Calvin remained #1 nationally in the United Soccer Coaches national rankings for Oct. 24.
