• Adrian stayed among the league leaders with a 1-1 MIAA week. After a 3-0 setback to Calvin Sept. 19, the Bulldogs rebounded with a 1-0 victory against Albion Sept. 23.
• Calvin added a pair of shutout victories against MIAA challengers, with a 3-0 win at home against Adrian Sept. 19 before a 5-0 victory over Alma Sept. 23. On the year, the Knights have allowed just three goals, none of which have come in MIAA play.
• A 2-0 week for Hope vaulted the Flying Dutchmen up the MIAA standings. Hope defeated Albion on the road in overtime Sept. 19, 2-1, before a solid 5-0 victory against Olivet Sept. 23.
• Two MIAA victories also helped Kalamazoo bound up the league standings, as the Hornets defeated Alma Sept. 19, 1-0, and Trine Sept. 23, 2-1.
• Earning MIAA Athlete of the Week honors for Sept. 25 were:
