Six MIAA Men's Soccer Players Garner All-Region Honors by United Soccer Coaches

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Six Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association men's soccer players garnered All-Central Region accolades this week from the United Soccer Coaches, with the national organization's release of their 2017 NCAA Division III Men's All-Central Region teams.

Calvin's trio of Nate Van Ryn (Sr., G, Grandville, Mich.), 2017 MIAA Most Valuable Player Trent Vegter (Jr., D, Hudsonville, Mich.), and Bobby McCaw (Jr., F, Dubuque, Iowa) all earned First-Team All-Central Region honors after aiding the Knights to a 21-1-1 record in 2017.

Also representing both Calvin and the MIAA on the second team were Matt Hinds (Sr., D, Frankenmuth, Mich.) and Hunter Olsen (So., M, Canton, Mich.).

Hope's Isaac Braak (So., M, Grand Haven, Mich.) was named a third-team performer.

The national organization will announce All-America honors in the coming days.
