The MIAA Men's Soccer Tournament final game is set after semifinal action Wednesday evening:
Calvin 5, Trine 1
No. 1 seed and #1 ranked Calvin scored the 21st and 24th minutes to set the tone on the way to a 5-1 home victory over fourth-seeded Trine. Matt Hinds had a two-goal effort on the night, scoring twice in the first half, including the game-winner; nine different players registered points for the Knights in the victory. As the top seed, Calvin will host Adrian Saturday, Nov. 4 at 7 p.m. at Zuidema Field for the MIAA Tournament Championship and the at-large berth into the NCAA Men's Soccer Championships.
Adrian 2, Hope 1
Adrian tallied first-half goals in the 18th and 42nd minutes to take a 2-0 halftime lead and held Hope to just three second half shots to defeat the Flying Dutchmen 2-1 and advance to the MIAA Tournament title game. Jordan Miller put the Bulldogs on the board in the 18th minute with a solo effort, and Adrian's Mark Proctor connected on a pass from Dolan Bonkowski for the Bulldogs' goals.
