NSCAA Recognizes Nine MIAA Soccer Programs with 2015-16 College Team Academic Awards

KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The NSCAA announced today (Oct. 6) the honorees for the 2015-16 NSCAA College Team Academic Award, which is presented to collegiate soccer programs that have a minimum grade-point average of 3.0 or higher for the entire academic year.

Nine Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Conference soccer programs – six women's and three men's – were among the 892 teams that achieved that standard during the 2015-16 academic year. Hope and Kalamazoo were among the 222 athletic departments nationally to have both their men's and women's soccer programs reach the echelon.
