Albion goalkeeper forced to make career-high 11 saves

ALBION, Mich. - Albion managed three shots on goal in a 2-0 loss to Trine in a Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association men's soccer contest.

Bobby Budlong and Evan Schweizer were the starters with shots on goal, and Gabe Martinez came off the bench and produced one.

Trine was on the attack from the start as Nick Lang forced Albion goalkeeper Justin Kraft to make a save 43 seconds into the match. Kraft stopped the first nine shots, but the Thunder got on the board when Lang produced his ninth goal of the season in the 59th minute.

Bill Wilson tacked on an insurance goal for Trine with 21 minutes to play.

Kraft finished the day with 11 saves.

Albion returns home Saturday for a 2:30 p.m. match against Hope College.
