Bourlier blast lifts Albion past Adrian

ALBION, Mich. – Kyle Bourlier provided the result the Albion College men's soccer team needed, sending a blast from 25 yards midway through the second half to lift the Britons to a 2-1 victory over Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association rival Adrian College.

The victory pushes Albion to 5-7-1 overall and 3-5 against league rivals.

Head Coach Jerry Block said Albion set the tone from the start. Mitchell Palmer and Clayton Cole produced shots off corner kicks and Bobby Budlong sent an attempt to the left. Albion broke through in the 17th minute, as Shawn Roberts produced his first career goal.

Chris Stanhope scored the equalizer a minute and a half into the second half for Adrian.

Albion goalkeeper Justin Kraft was credited with four saves.
