The Hope College men's soccer team suffered a 2-0 loss at Kalamazoo on Saturday in MIAA play.
Senior goalie Sam Barthel of Waukesha, Wisconsin (Waukesha HS), made eight saves for the Flying Dutchmen.
Kalamazoo (4-3-1, 3-1 MIAA) scored twice during the first half.
Hope's record is now 3-6 overall and 0-4 in MIAA play.
The Flying Dutchmen return to action on Wednesday, Sept. 30 when they host Albion. Kickoff is 7 p.m.
